Certificates of Roadworthiness
Certificate of Roadworthiness issued by Motor Tax Office on receipt of Pass Statement from Authorised Test Centre and fee.
Two types of Certificate:
- Light goods vehicle
- Heavy vehicle
Light goods vehicle:
- Up to 3500kg gross design vehicle weight
- Test due when vehicle is 1 year old and every year after that
- €6.00 fee for Certificate of Roadworthiness
Heavy Vehicle
- Goods vehicles and trailers exceeding 3500kg gross design vehicle weight
- Vehicle with 8 or more passenger seats, excluding driver
- Ambulances
- Test due when vehicle is 1 year old and annually after that.
- €13.00 fee for Certificate of Roadworthiness
