Traffic Management

The Accounts Receivable Department has responsibility for the Traffic Management Administration function which includes processing and collection of Traffic/Parking fines, Reminders, Summonses and Appeals.  On 3rd April 2006 the Minister for Transport introduced a Fixed Charge System in respect of parking and traffic offences to be enforced by Traffic Wardens under Section 3 of the Local Authorities (Traffic Wardens) Act 1975.  This replaced the Fines-on-the-Spot System.

Traffic/Parking Fine Charges

 DescriptionAmount
For the range of Parking Offences €40
For the non-display of current Tax Disc €60
For illegal parking in a Disabled Parking Bay €80

These charges apply if paid within 28 days of the issue of the Fixed Charge Offence Notice.  However, if the fine is not paid within 28 days, then the charge will increase by 50%.
